Hmm ok then, bugger,what a bad idea this was leaving such a responsibilty to me. I did take a few notes, but kinda got lost in the moment and the note taking didnt last long. Anyway I left them at Adams. I am certain this will be the most non descriptive report on the site to date!!
Well as we stood out side, before the game, G was informing us how he felt good about tonight, but also that he has been on a shocking run now for 4 months. Well it hasn't ended yet. I can't rember all the G-shockers, but the one that must have a cut like a knife (I felt it ) was when New Petes miserable 5 kicker rivered G's AK. I didnt know where to look, some laughed ,some only laughed inside, and G, well I don't really think he possibly believed anything else could have happened.
Chipstacks were accruing, mine was quite a large one at first until I got rivered by, errmmm I think it was MisterMonster or no it was Pete Junior. Adams monster was growing and growing all night in direct proportion to the amount of vodka he drank and brown stuff he sucked?!?!?! The pot was growing at quite a steady rate aswell, sponsored most generously by G and Steve. The panic was evident on G's face when he was informed he and Lindz were playing to a budget.
OK lets skip a few dozen hands and get to the freeze out. Just before the freeze out Lindz tried to regain some of her loses, to no avail and bowed out with her and G's last fiver (I think??). G had very little more left and they decided to throw in the towel as soon as G could find a hand he could bare to put his chips in with. I think Steve managed to bluff away his last few chips before G finally commited to a steak and a flick.
So, who was left? there was me, there was two petes, there was a Bosnian, there was a spaceman, the boy wonder and the jammy rag man.
Adz was still the chipmonster, with New Pete quietly whittling away what he had left and the rest of us waiting for Adam to cry monster one too many times. New Pete was next to depart, fairly undramatically as I think his cards had been all night.
I think it was about now I totally erased any memories I had of my commitment to compile my notes into this here report and didn?t take anymore. You may notice the lack of description of any cards in my report, but as they say, play the man not the cards,hmmm.
So who was next out, ermmm I think it was the other Pete. and then ermmm Andy. He was so desperate to slay a monster but it wasn?t to happen.
The ragman decided to do the noble thing and secure the bubble spot, but not before living upto his name and trebling through with his 2-4 off after it caught the gutshot 5 on the turn, Holy Mary Mother of God!!.
Nick and I, oh and Adam decided it may be a good idea for third place to hang about to resolve any possible misunderstandings, and after Nick was swallowed up by a monster (I think) it was time for Adam to Confirm how absolutely trolleyed he was.
A bit of tooing and fro-ing happened before the last two deciding hands, and then this.:
I flat call with 10-8diamonds, Adz, no raise. Flop AA8, I bet 6K. A slighty pause before Adz is all in. I call, Adz show K-3 off and gets no help from the turn or river.
I count out my call to be 31K. Adam then spends a few minutes counting out 31K (with a little help). He then proceeded (unaware to myself and Nick) to dwell up as to whether to call the all in bet for the hand which has already been flop turn rivered and mucked, and as I decided to scoop up the chips he told me too ?Wait I havn?t decided If Im gonna call yet!!!?.
He then protested as too where his cards had dissapeared to and I?m 99% sure he was serious!!
The final hand, I put Adz all In and it doesn?t take him too long to accept that his pair of fives don?t beat my Jacks.
Sorry for the lack of detail, if I?m forced to do this again I will do better :o).
