Legend of the Chew Chip
It all started when G was getting his and Petes new chip case out the boot of petes car and it popped open and the chips emptied on the road. They thought they had picked them all up but a few days later Pete was driving past and ran over one. This became the 'chew chip' and the legand started when it became the lucky chip and won all (well most) pots it was put into.
The legand continued when Andy got a brand new set of chips from pokerstars after hosting his Las Bagshot Inside Edge game and even before he had had unwrapped half of them, Pete had grabbed one, ran outside and drove over it 3 times in his car!
Its now tradition that when one of The Phat Dogs has a new chip set, one must be ran over (by Pete if you can) and put back in as the lucky chew chip.
As the Chew Chip has been good for The Phat Dogs we now honour it with the 'Chew Chip Cup'
Instead of just having league points, we equate them to chip values and then at the Phat Dogs Series Of Poker final (otherwise know as the Xmas do) at the end of the year, The Phat Dogs bring their points/chips to the final table. ie. every 10 league points = 1000 chips to the final table.
The Phat Dogs Xmas do is held a secret location and there will be trophies and prizes for all sorts of things, the most impotant being the Chew Chip Cup.
Although the Chew Chip Cup is only for the Phat Dogs, don't despair you can get your very own Chew Chip if you are one of the lucky people to be named Phat Puppy of the Month. You can appy to be a Phat Puppy here.
