In her own words

Poker is a bit like punk... its gets your heart racing and your mind alive, and I love it.

I've been playing a few years now both online and live. The Hendon Mob are my favorite players, Joe's a top bloke.

I really don't mind who I play against, and think I am fairly consistent in my game. If I have the cards I'll do my best to take you out, or bluff you out I don't mind either way.

I believe in the power of 'Wooooooo'... seems crazy but it works for me. Recently at a large tourney I was sat thinking I was well fucked when I had 10 6 off in the big blind, my big blind was 10,000 and a guy had gone all in and another called for 11,000. I called on the 'Woooooo' and chucked an extra 1000 in.... Nothing on the flop... Ten hit the turn and the caller went all in after I bet 10,000.... so more 'Wooooo' and another 16,000 of my chips were in the centre... the guy flipped over pocket queens... The river was a 6 and the chips were mine! Believe in the 'Woooooo' or at least be a little scared of it ;-)

I got interested in poker after watching the Gutshot Charity tourney in Newcastle. I went home that night got on the internet and signed up for a pokerstars account, and spent the next few months teaching myself online and reading all the poker info I could get my hands on.

I played online for about a year before trying live play and found it completely different. I used to go to a home game up north, when I moved back to Reading a mate started going to a game in and invited me to come along. He hadn't been playing long and had been once before (his first live game), he said the people were alright and was a good game so I went along. I instantly liked it, alot of banter and it was a friendly game.

After Playing together for a while the 8 of us decided that it would be a giggle to have our own website. I got bored one night and registered a domain name and started building the Phat Dogs site, so now I'm webmistress too.

I love being part of the Phat Dogs because above all else we have fun. The guys are all great and each of them brilliant poker players. I can't wait till we're all in the WSOP, all on the final table!!

What the other members say about Lindz

G - All ins against her are particularly painful as I'm often (always??) ahead only to watch her 'Woooo' power nail me on the river. Arguably the best raiser in the group and when she decides to go, you better have the nuts!! A patient and aggressive player that has a tendency to play against people's chip stacks. Difficult to knock off a pot, but this can be her downfall as well as her strength. Seems to hit a lot of river cards against me (think I've already said that) but she actually rivers everyone else too, so I'm not alone. This (she assures me) is her power of 'GUT' rather than woo. Her play suits rebuys perfectly, and take my word on it, you don't want to sit on her table during a rebuy. The frustration alone will give you palpitations.

Steve - The Woo is all friendly smiles, happy-go-lucky and pleased to see everyone just like an abandoned puppy. Then she picks up a half decent hand and kills you. Just like that. No scruples. Would make an excellent master criminal - in fact she could be one, cos you'd never know. Warning: if she's in the right mood, she'll do exactly the same thing with complete rags.

Top tip: If you don't have the patience to let someone else knock her out, find a god that actually answers your prayers - you'll need it against The Woo.

Phil -  A solid, aggressive player, Lindz is definately someone to be afforded respect at the poker table.  Or, would be, if it weren't for her reliance on the dark arts.  It is difficult to play aginst someone who places so much stock in the unholy ability to influence the turn of a card.  Her 'woo' technique (involving repetition of the word 'woo' and the cards required accompanied by forceful banging of the table) is a sight to behold, but I sometimes wonder if it should be allowed.  Do Robert's Rules have anything to say about genuine magic?

Pete (slag) - Top bird, plays poker almost as good as me.

Baz - Now me little rock chick plays with fire in her belly, dam I would even find her scary at the table, that's your play not the bolt through your lovely tongue, if I wasn't so pissed all the time. She is an attacking player, but the queen of bluffers as well. Have a lot of time for Lindz as she gets pissed as well, so basically I love her as well. J

Andy - Lindz plays poker with her heart and her head. Very tough to play against, especially when she is on form, and I'm sure is a great bluffer. Lindz is the heart of The Phat Dogs and is a must at any game. Her "One Billion Dollar" bets and the wooing of the cards is what The Phat Dogs is all about; passion, poker and stinking rotten luck on the river! I heard Jesus say to DISCO a few games ago that Andy is dangerous with chips. Well I don't know how true that is but I think the same applies for Lindz. A massive bluffer and a no fear attitude makes Lindz a very difficult player when she is chip leader.

Dave - Not sure about the power of Woo, but she doesn't need it. I often have no idea at all what she's up to, which of course is the whole point. If she has her mind set on a hand, you can't push her off it, and you can never be sure of when you're going to be re-raised all-in. A scary combination.

Marty - Very difficult to play against. Has a knack for bluffing at the right time and reading weakness. Lindz is a very aggressive player with no fear of going all in on a 50/50 if the pot is big enough! This is also her weakness though. She can gain a large chipstack very quickly but then make a loose call or raise at the wrong time through over confidence or boredom. All round though a formidable player and always entertaining when she tries to steal Graham's big blind!

Craig - Top bird, great fun, nearly always smiling, sadly ,a questionable taste in music though.  Although I'm sure most of the dogs would put some of the stuff I listen to  in a similar category!  Pokerwise, I've only seen her play the Dogz game so far, and most of the time she plays a good game, but she seems even more prone than me to acts of insanity.  She does assure me this only happens at Dogz games though :o).

Jesus - She is great! Just watch out for the Woo it will have your chips falling towards her and you praying you not in a pot with her.

Del - Probably the most annoying WOO in the WORLD.  Not only that it works!  I may try a similar diversion by copying Phil 'Unabomber' Laak.

Nick - I didn?t believe in the woo until I saw it in action. If you have aces and she?s got deuces, fear the worst. That aside, Lindz is actually a good poker player. I?ve seen her pull some complex moves that have left her opponent bamboozled and chipless (me). Respect also for the website.

Pete (new/doc) - I'm still trying to work her out. I suspect she plays at an instinctive level; which is beyond me. She appears to have two basic strategies to the cards: either fold or All-in. For some deep, unfathomable reason believes in the power of The Woo, which passes over my understanding of logic.
